Pan African Choir


the pan african choir formed in 2003 and learns songs and traditional drumming from across the african continent


the group has worked with many of melbourne's african musicians, including kojo sam, adzohu, valanga xhosa, david marama, king marong, jali buba kuyateh and the african royal drummers


the pan african choir is a community choir run by directors jen skate & chris lesser  

 

the group performs at events such as melbourne international festival, tanzanian association, the boite winter festival, and local festivals.






in 2008 members from the choir travelled to west africa on a choir study tour - this was not our bus, just one of our favourite photos!
 







We are currently raising funds for International Needs, Trokosi Slave Project, 
to help liberate Ghanaian women from a life of slavery.
